JAMMU, Aug 30: Ucmas Abacus, a Malaysia based organization pioneering in abacus based brain development program conducted Prize Distribution Ceremony for 5th J&K State Level Ucmas Abacus and Mental Arithmetic Competition 2015, here.
In Basic Level-Group A1, A2, A3, the 1st position holders included Avikshit Sharma, Aryan, Abhishek Abrol and Nandan Sharma, while 2nd position was claimed by Arihant A Singh, Mudita Gupta, Ryan Vivek Mahajan, Nandani Sharma and Utkarsh Gupta and the 3rd position went to Arnav Veer Singh, Kartikain Gupta, Krishna Mahajan, Vishwas Garg and Divyansh Kumar Bhagat.
Merit position holder students were Shivansh Semwal, Sia Aggarwal, Parth Gupta, Pranav Sharma, Abhra Pawan Sharma, Daksh Choudhary, Abhinandhan, Abhishek Choudhary and Nikhil Vermani
Overall Champion of Basic Level was Amrinder Singh.
In Elementary A Level Group B1, B2, B3, the 1st position holder students included Reyansh Gupta, Akashay Mahajan and Navarun Singh Slathia, while 2nd position went to Prajjawal Kumar Jha, Shrehan Raj Singh and Aditya Sharma and the 3rd position was bagged by Arnav Jain, Rudraksh Bhalla and Drish Mahajan.
Merit position holder students were Sarvagya Gupta, Saransh Gandotra, Mehar Singh, Suhani Rajput, Rishi Gupta, Daksh Sharma, Anish Pandita, Aryaman Singh Jamwal and Hitesh Sharma
Overall Champion of Elementary-A Level was Kanhaiya Gupta
In Elementary-B Level Group C2,C3, the 1st position was bagged by Srijan Sharma and the 2nd position by Ojasvi Koul
Merit position holder students were Bhavin Sandeep Bangotra, Shrvan Koul, Rohin Razdan and Sanyam Labroo
Overall Champion of Elementary-B was Rudraksh Dabee.
In Intermediate-A Level: Group D, the 1st position was bagged by Akash Radha and merit position holder was Pranav Singh.
In Intermediate B:Group E2,E3, the 1st position was claimed by Moksh Gupta, 2nd position by Samkit Jain and 3rd position by Aaditya Pratap Singh Charak and the merit position holder students were Manisha Kundal and Ayaan Sharma.
Overall Champion of Intermediate B Group E was Suvesh Pandita.
The Champions of different category were awarded trophies, certificates and Rs 1100 cash prize each.
Champion of Champion of 5th J&K State Level Ucmas Abacus Competition 2015 was Aarya Mahajan, who was awarded with a Samsung Tablet apart from trophy and certificate.
Priya Sethi Minister of Education for Education Information & Culture was the chief guest on the occasion, who applauded the effort of UCMAS J&K for providing national & international exposure to students in Jammu.
Madam Vijay Puri, Academic Director KC Gurukul, Vikesh Sandhal Principal Air Force School, G N Tantray, Director Doon International School and Sunny Mahajan, Director Pratap World School Pathankot were the guests of honour.
Mr Rupesh and Sonia Masson, Director UCMAS J&K presented the vote of thanks.
