Prerna, Mitali, Visha emerge winners in Symposium

JAMMU, Oct 13: The Gandhian Studies Centra of Government MAM College organized a symposium on the topic “Role of Youth in Curbing International Violence”.
Ten speakers participated in the symposium and presented their poignant views on the topic.
Prof Ajeet Angral, Principal of the college was the chief guest on the occasion. He stressed that a peaceful and violence free society was imperative for the overall development of the youth.
Prof Subash Chander Sharma, Senior Faculty was the guest of honour on the occasion.
Prof Banpreet Kour, Coordinator, Gandhian Studies Centre welcomed the guests and exhorted on the pivotal role of the youth in spreading the message of peace and harmony and also curbing violence at multiple levels. She motivated the students to carry forward the gospels of peace and brotherhood beyond these platforms towards creating a humane society.
Prof Twinkle Suri of English, Prof Sarika Mahajan of Electronics and Prof Anshu Sharma of Mathematics were the jury members for the symposium competition.
Prof Shiveta Gandotra, Prof Shivi Mehra, Prof. Richa Gupta and other members of the Gandhian Studies Centre were also present on the occasion.
Prerna Sharma, Mitali Anand and Visha Dogra bagged the first, second and third prizes in the competition respectively.
Manya Langar and Manasvi anchored the programme.
The formal vote of thanks was given by Prof Bindu Chib.
