PPCPL: JKP Tigers, Simula Superstars, Murtaza Warriors, TCI Max register win

Srinagar, June 9: Four matches were played today in the Police Public Cricket Premier League at Sher-i-Kashmir Stadium and Kashmir University ground.
At Sher-i-Kashmir Stadium, JKP Tigers defeated Ramhall Lions by 06 wickets while Simula Super Stars registered their win against Hamza Super Kings.
The first match was played between Ramhall Lions and JKP Tigers. Ramhall Lions won the toss and elected to bat first. Ramhall Lions were bundled out  for 97 runs in 17.4 overs.
Rumpy Sharma took 5 wickets in just 3.4 overs and Mehjoor Ali claimed 2 wickets for 7 runs in 04 overs for JKP Tigers. In reply JKP Tigers achieved the target easily in just 16.4 overs losing only 4 wickets.
Rumpy Sharma of JKP Tigers was declared man of the match for his superb bowling performance. Best catch of the match was given to Ishtiyaq Ahmad of JKP Tigers and most sixes of the match was secured by Jatin of JKP Tigers.
The second match was played between Hamza Super Kings and Simula Super Stars. While batting first Simula Stars scored 130 runs for 9 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs with Shashi Kumar scoring 31 runs. In reply Hamza Super Kings could only make 99 runs for the loss of 9 wickets. Raman Datta was adjuded Man of the Match while best catch was awarded to Aaqib Nazir of Hamza Super Kings. Most number of sixes was given to Puneet Kumar.
DIG Traffic Alok Kumar and SSP Srinagar Amit Kumar presented the gift cheques to the players.
Meanwhile, at Kashmir University cricket ground, first match was played between Murtaza Warriors and HK Stars. Murtaza Warriors scored 142 for 6 wickets in 20 overs with Adil Rasheed scoring 54 runs. HK Stars were restricted to 106 runs all out.
Man of the match was awarded to Adil Rasheed while best catch was awarded to Mudasir Ahmad and nost number of sixes was awarded to Umar Nabi of Murtaza Warriors.
In the second match BCC Bulls took on TCI Max. TCI Max scored 116 runs in 20 overs. In reply BCC Bulls could accumulate 81 in their chase. Zahoor Sofi of TCI Max was awarded with Man of the match for taking 2 wickets for 3 runs and Zahoor also notched the best catch of the match award.
The award for most sixes of the match was given to Rayees Bhat of BCC Bulls.
