PPCPL: Anantnag Kings, Simula Super Stars register wins in league matches

SRINAGAR, June 13: Two pool matches were played in the ongoing Police Public Cricket Premier League (PPCPL) at Kashmir University grounds and Sher-i-Kashmir Stadium.
At Sher-i-Kashmir Cricket Stadium, the match was played between BCC Bulls and Anantnag Kings. BCC Bulls won the toss and made 107 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs with Amir Aziz making 28 runs.
In reply, Anantnag Kings chased the target in 16 overs for the loss of 1 wicket with Imran Bazaz making superb 61 runs. Man of the match and Most sixes awards was achieved by Imran Bazaz of Anantnag Kings. Imtiyaz Malik of BCC Bulls begged the best catch of the match.
At Kashmir University, the match was played between Simula Super Stars and Mirza Gladiators. Mirza Gladiators won the toss and elected to field first. Simula Super Stars made 123 all out in 20 overs with Hardeep Singh contributing 46 runs.
In reply Mirza Gladiators were bundled off in 19.1 overs and could make only 109 runs with Adil Showkat making 35 runs. Sahil Sharma of Simula Super Stars takes 3 wickets in 4 overs and was declared as man of the match. Most sixes award was achieved by Manzoor Pandov while best catch award was bagged by Ahmad Banday of Mirza Gladiators.
SP North Shafaqat Bhat, CO 47 Battalion SSB and SDPO Hazratbal Sajad Ahmad Bukhari distributed the awards among the players.
