Power Hitters enters quarterfinals

JAMMU, Feb 4: Power Hitters entered into quarterfinals round by defeating Game Swingers in the ongoing Nari Shakti Pratiyogita tournament, being organised by Royal Women Cricket Club (RWCC) at MA Stadium, here today.
The tournament is being organised under the supervision of Rupali Slathia (Coach).
Game Swingers won the toss and decided to bat first. Batting first, the Game Swingers scored 73 runs in stipulated 20 overs wherein Sandhya scored unbeaten 20 runs while Lovely John made 18 runs. From Power Hitters, Nadia and Sanjana secured three wickets each.
In reply, the Power Hitters chased the target with five overs left from the stipulated 20 overs. Nadia once again scored 25 runs, whereas Lalita and Alia contributed 21 and 15 runs respectively. For Game Swingers, Sandhya was the wrecker-in-chief who took four wickets.
Jammu and Kashmir Body Building Association president Seva Singh Bali was chief guest. He interacted with players and encouraged them, whereas, BJP leader Shamim Bano was present as special guest.
Satika Sharma, Surekha Singh, Naina Rajput, Jyoti Bala, Ashima Pathania and Ankita Jala are playing crucial role to organise this tournament.
