JAMMU, Oct 21: Poonam defeated her rival from Algeria and sealed berth in the finals of the 15th World Wushu Championship at Shanghai.
Y Sanathoi Devi drubbed her opponent from Vietnam in the quarterfinals and confirmed 2nd medal for the country. Praveen Kumar, Ravi and Vikrant reached quarterfinals.
Ravi defeated Korean counterpart, while Vikram defeated the his rival from Chilli and Praveen got the better of his opponent from Malaysia.
J&K’s Kuldeep Handoo, Chief Coach of India and Rajesh Kumar Tailor are accompanying the team as coaches.
