Polytechnic Jammu organizes World Car Free Day

JAMMU, Sept 22: The NSS Unit of Government Polytechnic Jammu today organized the World Car Free Day in the College in which all the students and faculty members came to College by local transport and by bicycles and gave up their cars and bikes for one day.
The day was celebrated to promote the theme Save Earth-Live Green.
On this occasion, a signature campaign was also organized in college campus in which the faculty and students participated and pledged to keep the environment clean and green.
A painting competition on the above said theme was also organized in the college in which various students and faculty members participated. The first prize in the competition was bagged by Vijay Kumar, Civil Engg Deptt, second prize went to Avinash Khajuria of Travel and Tourism Deptt and the third prize was won by Mahami Sharma of Civil Engg Deptt.
The prizes were distributed by Er Arun Bangotra, Principal of the institution.
