Police organizes Martyrs Memorial Cricket tourney

RAMBAN, Mar 22: Police organized a Martyrs Memorial Cricket tournament under Civic Action Programme at Banihal, here today.
The tournament was organized on the directions of SSP Ramban Mohita Sharma in which two teams belonging to different areas of the district participated.
The tournament was inaugurated by SDPO Banihal Nisar Khoja. He was accompanied by CO 12 RR, Deputy Commandant 187 Bn CRPF, BDO Banihal, BMO Banihal, SHO Banihal and other eminent persons of the area.
During his inaugural address, the SDPO appreciated the teams for taking part in the sports event. He also stressed upon the young and budding players of the district to allow their minds to explore their own thoughts and imagination through the medium of sports. The match was played between Victoria Cricket Club Vs Aryan Cricket Club, which was won by Aryan Cricket Club.
It is pertinent to mention here that the Police is organizing different sports and cultural events for upliftment of sports among the youth. The main aim of organizing such events is to develop brotherhood, love and peace as well as keeping the youth away from the menace of drugs.
