Police Martyrs Memorial Football tourney enters 5th day

SRINAGAR, Mar 21: Police Martyrs Memorial Football Tournament, organised by J&K Police entered 5th day at TRC Synthetic Ground, here today.
Deputy Commandant IRP-6th Battalion, Safdar Hamied Samoon and DySP Sports APHQ J&K Syed Sajad Hussain were the chief guests of the event.
The first match was played between Kashmir Avengers and Hydera Sports FC wherein former emerged winners by 2 goals to 1. Man of the Match award went to Burhan of Kashmir Avengers, while 2nd match was played between J & K Police XI and Aarco FC Sopore wherein Safdar Hamied Samoon introduced the teams’ players. Aarco FC Sopore defeated J&K Police XI by 3 goals to 1. Ishfaq of the winning team was awarded with Man of the Match.
The 3rd match of the day was played between J&K Bank XI and State Football Academy which was won by J&K Bank by 3 goals to nil wherein Furqan was declared as Man of the Match and the 4th match was played in between J&K SPDC XI and Jammu Blue teams wherein Ravinder Paul Singh, Dy Commandant IRP-8th was the chief guest. The match was won by J&K SPDC XI by 7 goals to 1 in which Mehran of the winning team was adjudged Man of the Match.
The tournament was conducted under the supervision of Syed Sajad Hussain-DySP Sports APHQ J&K.
Kashmir Avengers and J&K Bank as well as Aarco FC Sopore and J&K SPDC-XI will lock horns in semi final matches tomorrow.
