KATHUA, Nov 8: J&K Police today provided Gym facility at Mahanpur in district Kathua under Civic Action Programme.
The Gym was inaugurated by Shakeel A Beig, DIG Jammu-Samba-Kathua Range.
He was accompanied by Pawan Parihar SSP Kathua and Jagdev Singh SDPO Basohli.
While speaking on the occasion, DIG Jammu said that fitness is the key for progress of the nation.
DIG said that the gym centre has been established by Kathua police at Mahanpur under Civil Action Programme after complete renovation of the community hall which was previously not in use for physical excises by youth of Mahanpur, Mada Patti and Karan Bada areas in order to keep them mentally and physically fit.
DIG Jammu further said that youth of the area should actively avail the facility of Gym as the physical exercises and sports activities keep them away from the social evils like drug addiction, smoking etc.
