JAMMU, Jan 5: The Billiards and Snooker Association of J&K has announced the list of players selected to represent Union Territory at the 92nd National Billiards and Snooker Championship, scheduled to be held at HL City, Bahadurgarh, Haryana, from January 11 to 27, 2026.
The selections were made on the basis of performance in the 13-day Union Territory Championship recently conducted at the Billiards Hall, M.A. Stadium, Jammu, under the supervision of the Divisional Sports Officer, J&K Sports Council Jammu. The tournament saw participation from 200 players from across the UT.
Sub-Junior Category: Abid Ali (Snooker) and Masrouf Hussain (Snooker) have been selected to represent J&K in the national event. Junior Category: Irhaam Parvez (Snooker) and Hardik Gupta (Billiards) earned their places in the national championship through consistent performance.
Senior Category: Waseem Iqbal (Snooker), Younis Nazir (Snooker) and Suhail Khalid (Billiards) were selected based on their outstanding displays throughout the tournament.
Secretary of Sports Council, Nuzhat Gul and Association President, Nikhil Kapahi, extended their best wishes to all the selected players, expressing hope that they will perform exceptionally well at the national level.
