POONCH, Jan 15: Power House Hockey Club (PHHC) defeated Stadium Orange by straight three goals to zero and lifted title trophy of sub-junior boys category in District Hockey Championship, being organized by Hockey Poonch under the aegis of Hockey J&K at sports stadium here today.
In the first half, Ijaz of PHHC scored the first goal of the match in the 5th minute and brought the opponent team under 1-0 lead.
In 15th minute, Shahid of PHHC netted another goal and raised the scorecard to 2-0 goals, which the opponent Stadium Orange players could not equalize and the first half ended with 2-0.
In the second half, Vishal of PHHC scored third goal of the match and raised the scoreboard to 3-0.
The players of Stadium Orange strived hard to level the scorecard, but failed and the match was won by PHHC by straight three goals to Nil.
Apart from winning the match, PHHC also lifted the sub junior title in this District Hockey Championship.
The match was officiated by Satish Kumar, SohailAzeem, Pawan Kumar NIS Hockey Coach and Mukesh Kumar NIS Hockey Coach.
On the occasion, Gurmeet Singh, Superintending Engineer PWD was the chief guest, whileas TP Singh AEE, SC Basnotra AEE, PK Abrol AE, Nirdosh Kumar, incharge Sports Stadium Poonch, Ravinder Singh, Mushtaq Ahmed, boxing coach and Narjeet Singh, ZPEO Zone Nangali were also present.
The championship was being organized under the supervision of Sham Lal Sharma, redt SAI hockey coach and Vice President of Hockey J&K.
