PG Arts wins Inter-collegiate Hockey (M) Tournament

JAMMU, Sept 28: PG (Arts) team of University of Jammu won the Inter-Collegiate Hockey (Men) Tournament, organized by the Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu after beating SPMR College of Commerce by 4-1 goals in the final match played today at University Hockey Field here.
Mohinder Singh of PG team scored the first goal in the 18th minute, while Manmohan Sharma scored two field goals for PG team in the 34th and 58th minutes respectively. Rajbir Singh of PG team also scored a field goal in 38th minute.
The only goal for the Commerce College was scored by Balmeet Singh in the 36th minute.
H.S Chib Physical Director (retired) and outstanding Hockey player of his time was the chief guest of the valedictory function, who awarded trophy to the winners team whereas Prof. Dhian S. Bhau Director Sports and Physical Education presided over the function.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Ajaz Malik, Raj Kumar Bakshi, Vikas Karlopia, Dr Brij Baloria, Jai Bharat, Romesh Sharma and Amit Sharma.
The match was officiated by D.Singh, Joginder Singh, Jagjeet Singh and PD Singh
The tournament was conducted under the supervision of PD Singh.
