Performer Group’s 15 days workshop concludes

JAMMU, July 28: Fifteen days long workshop by The Performer Group in collaboration with Indian Red Cross Society on Acting and Dance concluded with fabulous and scintillating performances at Govt. Women College, Parade, here today.
S K Kapoor (DGM) SBI was the chief guest while senior journalist, Sohail Kazmi was the guest of honour.
Mr Kapoor in his address lauded the efforts of the Group for organizing such a long workshop to mould the abundant energy of the youngsters into creative and innovative direction.
Heemla Aggarwal, Principal Women College, Parade and R.C Puri, Secretary Red Cross Society, Jammu were the special guests on the occasion.
Mrs. Aggarwal, while congratulating the artists said India has a very rich and glorious culture of all arts which can only be preserved by transfer from one generation to the other, while Mr Puri said that the youth without knowledge about Red Cross is meaningless..
Scintillating performances were given by the artists in various dance and drama items including thought provoking play ‘Jeewan Bahumulya Hai’ on the occasion.
Earlier, Urja Singh, president,The Performer Group presented welcome address. Experts of various arts present on the occasion included Narayan Parshad, Dr. Sudhir Mahajan, Dr Kamal Sharma, Aakash Dogra, Pankaj Sharma, Kusum Tickoo, Ashok Sharma, Vijay Goswami and Rahul Singh.
