JAMMU, Mar 19: Peepal Tree School celebrated the 5th Annual Day with a lot of enthusiasm and fervor. The celebration commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the chief guest Dr. Priyanka Rana which was followed by presentation of Saraswati Vandana.
Elegantly dressed, the students based on the theme “Vibrant India” depicting the diversity in Indian tradition tapped their feet with their superb performances one by one.
The next item was a group dance where the Punjabi group started chanting the name of Vahe Guru and gave us a glimpse of festivals like Lohri & Baisakhi and even a typical Punjabi wedding. Classy in all aspects came the tiny group of Dogri girls and showcased the bubbly Dogri dance radiated the warmth of vibrant Indian tradition. Cute kids danced in flawless rhythms to the Hindi music which proved to be a blend of cosmic tune. Maharashtra group dance took a peek at the audience followed soon by loud cheers. Gujarati dance had a beautiful costumes which displayed ghumar and garba.
These carnival of dances were followed by poetic recitation and theme based choreographic show casing, precise weightless acrobatic movements done by the students.
The stars of second standard enthralled the audience by the group song got a thunderous applause.
The cultural fiesta was followed by the prize distribution for meritorious students in academics, sports and co-curricular activities. The Trustee Aakash Singh appreciated the talent exhibited by the students.
The function ended with singing of National Anthem.
