JAMMU, Oct 7: All J&K Chess Association is going to organize 7th All India Level Fide Rating Chess event ‘Patnitop Open’ from October 11, 2012, here.
Around 70 players from across the country are expected to take part in this 5-day event. The participating teams would be from the States of Nagaland, West Bengal, Kerala, Karnataka, Delhi, Gujarat, MP, UP, Tamil Nadu, Punjab etc.
This was disclosed by Atul Kumar Gupta, president All J&K Chess Association and joint secretary, All India Chess Federation in a press conference, here today.
He said that cash prize of Rs 90,000 will be distributed among the winners alongwith trophies and medals, besides the un-rated players will get opportunity to get FIDE ratings.
