JAMMU, Jan 1: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has introduced a prerequisite for applying for Level-1 Coaching Course conducted by the National Cricket Academy Bengaluru. This was informed by Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) through a press release issued by Brig Anil Gupta, Member-Administration JKCA.
“As per the latest communication received from NCA, it has been revealed that all the players desirous to take coaching as profession will have to pass Level-O module to become eligible to apply for Level-1 Coach Certification Program. The online module will be offered in eight different languages namely English, Hindi, Gujarati, Marathi, Kanada, Tamil, Bengali and Telugu,” said the press release.
Brig Anil Gupta informed that NCA will be training 100 candidates from J&K for Level-0 module in four batches of 25 each spread out throughout the year and the course will be applicable to both male and female candidates who have either been ex-cricketers or have worked as Coaches with the JKCA.
Brig Gupta further informed that the knowledge of computers is mandatory and the desirous candidates should be between 18 to 55 years, possessing physical and mental fitness. He said that the Level 0 Learning Module can be completed online by the candidates recommended by the JKCA.
“JKCA will send the names of nominated potential candidate’s along with their email Ids and phone numbers to NCA, which will then provide access to the nominated candidates and those candidates who will receive access from NCA, will be able to take up the course online. After the completion of the course, the results will be compiled and declared to the Association by the NCA. On the basis of these results, JKCA will recommend the names of the candidates for Level-01 Coaching Course,” informed Brig Gupta.
