JAMMU, Mar 27: Brilliant innings of 93 runs, studded with 16 boundaries by Pardeep Bali goes in vain as Challenger Cricket Club defeated Parade Sports Association (PSA) by a narrow margin of 15 runs to lift the title trophy of the Veteran T20 Cricket Tournament at Parade ground, here today.
Earlier, batting first, Challenger Club scored a decent total of 170 runs in the stipulated 20 overs. Guru Partap scored unbeaten 63 runs, while Altaf contributed unbeaten 38 runs to the total. Narinder also chipped in with 22 runs. Raju Saini took 2 wickets, while Sanjay Sharma claimed one.
In reply, PSA managed to score 155 runs despite heroic innings by Pardeep Bali to lose the match by a narrow margin of 15 runs. Ranjeet Bali also contributed 25 runs to the total. Akshay Khajuria also chipped in with 12 runs. Guru Partap Singh took 2 wickets, while Vijay Sharma, Suresh Singh and Shafiq claimed one wicket each. Guru Partap was declared as man of the match for his brilliant knock.
