Param Jr holds Shaheen to draw; State Sports Club blanks Young Striker

JAMMU, June 7: Param Junior Football Club held Shaheen Football Club to goalless draw, while State Sports Club thrashed Young Striker by four goals to nil (4-0) in the ongoing 1st Mufti Mohammad Sayeed Memorial Gold Cup Football League Tournament-2018, being organized by District Football Association (DFA) Jammu, under the aegis of Jammu and Kashmir Football Association at GGM Science College Football Ground, here.
In the first match of the day, the players of both the teams despite showing extraordinary soccer skills failed to score goals and the match went goalless in the stipulated time.
Though there were close shaves as far as scoring goals is concerned, yet none of the teams could break the jinx.
In another match of the day, State Sports Club defeated Young Striker by four goals to nil (4-0) in a one-sided affair. The goal scorers were Karan, Govind, Keshav and Vansh.
The matches were officiated by Honey Mehra, Rockey Sharma, Sanju Jangral and Rahul Ghai.
The Tournament is being organized by the JKFA District Jammu under the chairmanship of Sheikh Mehmood, President DFA Jammu, while Yousuf Don is the Organizing Secretary, besides Charan Dass and Mohan Lal, Member Organizing Committee.
