Christmas Football Gold Cup

JAMMU, Dec 9: Param FC and Young Hero’s registered splendid wins over their opponents in the ongoing 15th Christmas Gold Cup Football Tournament, organized by All J&K Sports and Cultural Welfare Association at GGM Science College Ground, here today.
First match was played between SFA and Param FC wherein Param FC registered win over SFA by 2 goals to nil. Ashwani Jasrotia was the player of Param FC who scored first goal in the 35th minute of the game, whereas Jatinder netted 2nd goal for the winning team in the 55th minute of the game and registered a splendid win over SFA.
During the 1st game, yellow cards were shown to Jatinder of Param FC in 60th minute and Abid of SFA in the 23rd minute.
In the 2nd match Young Hero’s won the match from Kathua United by 4 goals to 3 in a tie breaker.
GD Malhotra (Former SAI coach) was the chief guest of the event along with Shahnaz Iqbal, David Masih, Yousuf Don, Peter Sandhu, Charan Dass, Rattan Lal and Harbans Lal.
The matches were officiated by Dheeraj Meenia, Romesh Sethi, Abhishek Chandan, Satnam Singh, Aman Banathia, Madhav, Dil Bahadur and Aman as referee.
Jammu United FC will lock horns with Young Rovers in a pre-quarterfinal match, while Vijay Club face Pegasus Hero FC in a quarterfinal match, tomorrow.
