Param FC to take on Sujanpur in Hiranagar Gold Cup final today

KATHUA, May 13: Param FC to clash with Sujanpur TV in the final of the Hiranagar Gold Cup, being organized by Hiranagar Football Club, tomorrow.
Earlier, in the thrilling second semis, Param FC outplayed FC United Kathua by 4-2 goals.
Param started well and put in two goals in first half through Karun and Shubham. Kathua team managed to reduce the lead before interval and kept up the attack on Param FC’s goal. FC United Kathua finally managed to find an equalizer through Rahul Jasrotia in second half.
Both teams played exciting football to find the winning goal. Deadlock was broken by Karun again when he scored on a free kick and then completed his hatrick as soon as game restarted, scoring a solitary goal, dribbling past entire Kathua team and goalkeeper too.
The match ended on a controversial note when FC United Kathua refused to complete the match after conceding two consecutive goals. Referee finished the match after normal time and awarded the match to Param FC.
MLA Kathua Rajeev Jasrotia was present on the occasion as chief guest to encourage the players, while Ajay Sharma and Surinder Singh Pathania were the guests of honour.
The match was officiated by Bindu, Sachin, Shubham and Ronie Sharma.
