JAMMU, Dec 19: Param FC scripted victory in the semifinals and entered into the finals of the ongoing 5th Christmas Soccer Championship which is being organized by Christian Sports Organization in collaboration with J&K Football Association at Parade ground, here.
The objective of the Championship is to help youths not to take drugs and live a healthy life. The slogan of the tournament is “Be Healthy – Don’t Do Drugs”.
In today’s match SSP Ramesh Kotwal SP Headquarters Jammu was the chief guest whereas Vikas Sharma Sr. Manager Federal Bank was the guest of honour. They were introduced with the participating teams in presence of Rajesh Gill Chief Prosecuting Officer, Asif Gill, Yousaf Don, Mohan Lal, RP Singh and Sunny Gill.
In today’s first semi-final, Param FC won the match against NGR FC by 1-0 goal, the only goal from Param FC scored by Rajinder Singh in 20th minute. In rest of the match NGR FC tried a lot to equalize the goal but Param FC did not allow them to do the same.
The main Sponsors of the championship are Federal Bank, South Indian Bank and Canara Bank whereas the Co-Sponsors includes M/S Try Me Readymade Garments, Pritam Advertisers, Punjabi Brothers and Honor powered by Huawei .
The Organizing secretaries of the Championship are Asif Gill, David Mattoo and Yousuf Don whereas Rajesh Gill is the Coordinator of the Championship.
The officiating members of the today’s matches were Rocky Kumar, Ricky Kumar, Dheeraj and Suresh Gupta.
In tomorrow’s fixture, Vijay Club will take on Young Rovers FC in the second semifinal at 2 pm.
