Panjgrian Phantoms, Pargalta Friends script resounding wins

BAJALTA Feb 21: Defeating their rivals convincingly in their respective matches, Panjgrian Phantoms and Pargalta Friends advanced into the next round of the ongoing Maruti Suzuki Nagrota Premier League Tournament, an initiative of MLA Devender Singh Rana.
Panjgrian Phantoms defeated Ranjan Soldiers, while Pargalta Friends got better of Galaxy Divine Samrats.
Earlier, Pargalta Phantoms scored a fighting total of 125 runs, losing 3 wickets in the process. Ankush top scored with 47 runs, while Anish contributed 28 runs to the total.
Ranjan Soldiers failed to chase the target and were bowled out for 96 runs.
For his all-round performance, Anish was declared as man of the match. After scoring valuable 28 runs, Anish captured 5 important wickets.
The second match of the Tournament was played between Pargalta Friends and Galaxy Divine Samrats.
Winning the toss, Galaxy Divine Samrat decided to bowl first.
Put into bat, Pargalta Friends scored decent total of 135 runs in the stipulated 14 overs, losing 7 wickets in the process.
In reply, Galaxy Divine failed to chase the target and made 130 runs, thus lost the match by a narrow margin of 6 runs. For his magnificent 75 runs, Koushal of Pargalta Club was declared as man of the match.
The matches were officiated by Saleem-Ur-Rehman and Pankaj Sasun from the Department of Youth Services and Sports, J&K.
Both the matches were played under the overall supervision of Faheem Tak, vice president Take-1 Channel and Member Organizing Committee.
