POONCH, May 7: Open Inter School Taekwondo Championship, organized by Pritam spiritual Trust in collaboration with Poonch District Taekwondo Association concluded at MHS DAV Public School Kuniyian, here today.
A total of 250 students from all over Poonch district participated in the Championship.
Manish Gupta, Brigade Commander 93 infantry Brigade was the chief guest on the occasion, while Sandhya Gupta, Founder Women Club Meri Pehchann was the guest of honour.
The special guests included S Jagat Narayan Col 39 RR, Makhan Lal Bhaglal, Sudershan Kumar Sharma, S Jagbir Singh, PremParkash Luthra, Sarla  Bakshi, Rydhmpreet Singh, Priyanka Singh and Amit Sharma, Organising Secretary Poonch District Taekwondo Assocaition (PDTA).
Speaking on the occasion chief guest, Manish Gupta congratulated Poonch District Taekwondo Association and Pritam Spiritual Trust for organising this mega event in remote area of Poonch.
He also congratulated Rajinder Singh for imparting coaching to more than 120 students.
Sandhya Gupta also spoke on the occasion.
Earlier, Rajinder Singh, Chairman District Poonch Taekwondo Association highlighted the achievements of Taekwondo in Poonch.
Later, the chief guest and the guest of honour distributed medals and trophies among winners.

The technical panel includes Anuj Sharma, Organising Secretary JKTA, Rajinder Singh National Referee Taekwondo, Jatinder Pal, DK Raina and Ashiq Hussain.
Jessica Singh and Prakriti Sharma were adjudged as the best players in women’s category, while Akarshit Sudan and Faisal Nissar were adjudged as the best players in men’s category.
MHS DAV Public school won the overall trophy, while Christ School Poonch remained runners-up
The gold medal winners included Aarav Kar, Chanderdeep Shandil, Nimesh Sharma, Abirath Singh, Sparsh Sharma, Krishna Dutta, Prabjot Singh, Mohd Adil, Jashanpreet Singh, Vishnu Raina, Vishvas Sudan, Saksham Sharma, Mohd Irfan Shah, Akarshit Sudan, Abhishek Sawhney, Arun Sasan, Aditya Sharma, Garvin Gupta, Zahid Naz, Sohim, Ashiq and Karan. The silver medals were claimed by Takshdeep, Ranajay, Ragav, Kamesh, Zahid, Faisal, Kritish, Soheed, Yasir hamid,Prabjot singh,Rizwan Hamid and Vansh Bakshi.
In female category, the gold medals went to Gursimran Kour, Himanshi, Khalida, Simran Kour, Jasleen, Prakriti, Jassica Singh, Avleen Kour, Chhavi, Mussart Naz, Najmul Nissa, Arshia, Najma Kouser and Naveed Kouser, while the silver medals were bagged by Aaradhya Dabur, Himanshi, Komalpreet Kour, Manpreet Kour, Suhani, Sneha, Monisha Janghir, Pratiba, Ritika, Kashish and Nitika.
The vote of thanks was presented by Priyanka Singh, Secretary PDTA.
