JAMMU, Oct 31: An Open Gym was inaugurated at Gurha Slathia by Anoo Malhotra, Director Industries and Commerce in presence of Trishala Kumar, Joint Director (M&P), here today.
The Gym was installed under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative by members of Association of Industries Samba.
Vijay Aggarwal, president, Arjun Malhotra, general secretary and executive members of the Association including Vinay Sharma and Vishal Aggarwal were also present during the inaugural function.
Anoo Malhotra emphasised on the need for fitness in every sphere for overall development. She asserted that these types of Gyms are suited not only for reaching the required fitness levels, but also to develop a positive outlook towards life in general.
She exhorted that the unemployed youth can avail the benefits of schemes like Prime Minister Employment Generation Programme and become entrepreneurs and job creators.
BDC Chairman, Yogeshwar Singh, Sarpanch, Jatinder Singh, Colonel (Retd), Jaswant Singh Slathia and many others prominent of the area graced the function.
