JAMMU, May 14: The Wushu Association of India is organising Online Taolu National Wushu Championship from May 15 to 18, 2020.
According to the organisers, prior to National Championship, 25 State units organised Online State level Championships across the country.
They said the players across the country were highly motivated and the competition has boosted their morale.
“Union Sports Minister has given his consent to be the chief guest on the occasion, while Dr Narinder Dhruv Batra, President IOA and Secretary Sports (MYAS) Ravi Mital will be the guests of honour. Zhang Qiuping, Secretary General of International Wushu Federation (IWUF) will be the special guest on the occasion.
More than 700 players from 32 units have confirmed their entry and some reputed international players will be seen in action,” the organisers informed.
“The opening ceremony of the Championship will be held on May 15, 2020 at 5 pm through Zoom App, while the closing ceremony of the Championship will be held on May 18, today at 5 pm,” added the organisers.
