JAMMU, Sept 15: Political Science Department of Government Degree College for Women (GDCW) Kathua today organised an inter-collegiate quiz competition on ‘International Day of Democracy’ wherein a large number of students from different Colleges of Jammu division participated.
The event was organised under the supervision of Prof Pallavi (HoD) and under the guidance of College Principal, MS Pathania, who is also nodal officer of Shikshit Bharat.
First position was shared by Saloni of GCW Gandhi Nagar Jammu, Palvi of GDCW Kathua and Khushboo Sudan of GDCW Kathua, whereas 2nd position was jointly clinched by Suneha Devi of GDC Marheen, Kajal Devi of SPMR College of Commerce, Sikha Rani of GDCW Kathua and Payal Choudhary of SPMR College of Commerce and 3rd position was shared by Manish Kumar of SPMR College of Commerce, Priya Sharma of GDC Pouni and Metali Bhalgotra of SPMR College of Commerce besides all the participants who secured above 80 percent marks were awarded with e-certificates.
Meanwhile, GDC Billawar also organised an inter-college poetry competition wherein Shuvam Mankotia of GDC Billawar has secured first position, Sakshi Billawria of GDC Mahanpur bagged second position while Seeta Kumari of GDC Kunjwani and Sanyana Devi of GDC Billawar clinched third position.
The competition was judged by Dr Rajni Kumari, Prof Anil Verma and Dr Pinkey. The competition was organised by the Cultural Committee of the College. The whole programme was organised under the overall supervision of College Principal, Prof Anita Jamwal.
