ONGC FC Mumbai drubs JKP by solitary goal

SRINAGAR, June 6: ONGC Football Club trounced J&K Police Football team by a solitary goal in Group ‘B’ match of the Kashmir Invitation Football Cup 2014 at Mini Stadium in Baramulla, today.
ONGC Football Club netted the first goal at the dying moment of the first half in 34th minute through striker Dimal Singh with a fine shoot. Puya from ONGC tried hard to double the lead but failed and missed 3 open chances. The players of J&K Police tried their level best to score an equalizer but failed in their efforts. However, in the fading moments of the game, J&K Police team gifted a penalty shoot to ONGC, but they failed to convert it into goal. Both the teams played aggressively and sensibly and the game was the winner. Dimal Singh of ONGC Football Club was adjudged man of the match.
SBT, Kerala will take on J&K Forest at 4 pm at Polo ground Srinagar tomorrow.
Farooq Ahmad Shah, District Development Commissioner, Baramulla and DIG Gh Hassan Bhat were the guests of honour on the occasion.
