NYK organizes ‘Cheer-4 India’ campaign

JAMMU, July 24: To boost the morale of athletes participating in Tokyo Olympics, “Cheer-4 India” campaign was organized under the banner of Nehru Yuva Kendra at MA Stadium here today by the Director of NYK.
On the occasion, TK Bhat Relief Commissioner was the chief guest, who flagged-off the campaign along with Mohita Sharma SP North who was guest of honour. Ashok Singh, Divisional Sports Officer J&K Sports Council was also present.
Addressing the gathering, TK Bhat Relief Commissioner said, “All of us faced a challenge, including our athletes. I believe athletes are geared up to give their best shot in Tokyo 2020 Olympics”.
Logistic support for the campaign was provided by the J&K Sports Council for successful conduct of the event and it was well acknowledged by Nisar Ahmad Deputy Director NYK in his vote of thanks address.
Top sportsmen and some budding players as well as youth from District Samba were the part of campaign which started from MA Stadium and culminated at Gandhi Nagar here.
The others who were present on the occasion included Ashok Kumar Deputy Director SAI, Manager MA Stadium, coaches and staff members of J&K Sports Council.
