JAMMU, Aug 3: In a nukkad series launched at Hari Singh Park here by the Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art Culture and Languages, MJackson Cultural Institute of Society, Jammu presented a nukkad natak namely ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao”.
The Nukkad was based on female foeticide.
The artists with dramatic aesthetic sense displayed that in the Indian Society female children are considered as social and economic burden to their parents so they understand that it is better to kill them in the womb before taking birth in this planet whereas no one understands its negative aspect in the future.
The play further revealed that the female sex ratio in comparision to the male has been reduced to great extent  (8 males per female) and if the situation will remain same there will be a great imbalance.
The artists who performed included Vidhya Bhushan, JR Sharma, Jackson, Basant Vijogi, Poonam Sharma
Karishma, Aksra Sudan, Aakanksha Sudan and Danshika Jamwal.
Tomorrow a  nukkad will  be performed by Rangyug  Jammu.
