NSUI flays JKCA for biased selection

JAMMU, Sept 25: In a press conference held today, Avjyot Singh, State general secretary, NSUI, J&K flayed Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) for mal functioning.
While interacting with media persons, Singh said that besides a lot of talented cricketers in our State, we time and again face defeat which is a matter of shame.
He said the selection of players is totally biased, adding out of 150 aspirants last year, eight were selected from Jammu and eight from Kashmir and all those selections were made on the directions of certain highly influential people and deserving players who were from poor background were totally ignored.
He also said that last year team lost four matches in Under-16 series at Jammu, Patiala, Shimla and Delhi.
The reason behind that is selection of nears and dears by selection committee.
He warned JKCA for starting indefinite agitation against it if it will not apply the phenomenon of transparency and honesty in its functioning.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Ranjodh Singh, Nishant Gupta and Ajay.
