NSUI elects Ahjaz as president

JAMMU, Apr 11: JNU wing of the National Students Union of India has elected its first Jammu and Kashmir president, Ahjaz Ali Shah who is second year Masters Student at the Persian Centre and has been an NSUI member since his graduation days in Lucknow.
Shah grew up in Salwah of Tehsil Mendhar Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir and his father is a retired court clerk.
He was chosen from among six candidates to be the NSUI JNU unit president in the recently concluded party elections. Ahjaz has replaced former president Vikas Yadav.
