NSCC outplays OCC to lift 1st Coloured KP T-20 Cricket Cup

JAMMU, Oct 10: New Star Cricket Club (NSCC) outplayed Oriental Cricket Club (OCC) by 11 runs in a keenly contest summit clash to lift the title trophy of the 1st Coloured KP T-20 Cricket Cup, played at KC School ground, here today.
Electing to bat first after winning the toss, NSCC made 153 runs by losing 7 wickets in 20 overs. Sahil made 34 runs off 22 balls including four boundaries and one six, while Vishal chipped in 20 runs in 13 balls with the help of one boundary and one six. Provin also scored 19 runs off 13 balls including one ball over the fence.
From OCC side, Vimarsh was the pick of the bowler with 3 wickets by conceding 32 runs in 4 overs, while Jhonty took 2 wickets by giving 40 runs in 4 overs. Rohan clinched one wicket by giving 27 runs in 4 overs.
In the second inning, OCC failed to chase the target and bundled out at 142 runs by losing 5 wickets in 20 overs. Decker was the highest scorer with 46 runs off 21 balls with the help of six boundaries and three sixes, while Rohan chipped in 33 runs in 21 balls including four boundaries and one six. Vicky also made 21 runs off 14 balls including two balls towards the fence.
From NSCC side, Sahil scalped 2 wickets by giving 25 runs in 4 overs, while Amit took one wicket by conceding 28 runs in 4 overs.
Sahil of NSCC was adjudged as Man of the Match for his all round performance.
The match was officiated by Madan Verma and Sheru as umpires, while Rajat Sofaya maintained the scorecard.
On the valedictory function, Mukesh Sharma, District General Secretary, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) presented the title trophy to the winning team in presence of Inspector VK Raina from JKP, who was guest of honour.
