League matches in Six Red Ball Tournament enters Day-5

JAMMU, Oct 10: The league matches in the ongoing 1st J&K State Open Six Red Ball Tournament, being organized by Jammu and Kashmir Billiards and Snooker Association (JKBSA) at Billiards Hall, MA Stadium, entered Day-5, here today.
In the first match, Stanzin beat Ajay Sharma by 3-1. Stanzin won the first frame by 43-38 and registered win in the second frame also by 55-46. Ajay Sharma won the third set by 41-16, but lost the fourth frame by 55-23.
Abid Bhat crushed Abhinandan Sharma in the second match by straight 3-0 frames with the score of 56-11, 31-08 and 39-20.
In the third match, Marshal got walkover from Varun, while in the fourth match, Mudasar beat Akshay Singh by straight 3-0 frames and the score was 40-09, 54-19 and 57-15.
Nikhil Kapahi outclassed Nikhil Kohli by straight 3-0 frames with the score of 49-11, 30-24 and 35-04, whereas in the sixth match, Younis Kuchey beat Manipal Singh by 3-1 frames. Younis registered win in the first set by 38-16 and continued the winning pace by emerging winner in the second frame also by 27-16. Manipal won the third frame by 39-21 but lost the fourth frame by 43-24.
In the seventh match, Rohit Chib crushed Ravneet Singh by 3-1. Ravneet made a good start by winning the first frame by 44-37, but Rohit equalized the game by winning the second frame by 40-15. In the third and fourth frames, Rohit registered win by 23-15 and 39-15.
Rohit Sharma thrashed Rakesh Sharma by 3-2 frames in  the eighth game. Rohit won the first frame by 56-1 and registered win in the second frame by 60-10. Rakesh made a comeback and equalized the game by winning the third and fourth frames by 38-28 and 27-03. In the decider frame, luck favoured Rohit, who won the frame by 44-15.
In the ninth match, Jaideep Manocha beat Shivam Gupta by straight 3-0 frames with the score of 30-12, 46-23 and 54-53.
The matches were being held under strict supervision of the JKBSA members and played with the rules and regulations of Billiards and Snooker Federation of India (BSFI).
Rakesh Sharma acted as marker of the tournament.
