BUDGAM, Aug 25: Defeating Sheikh ul Alam Football Club convincingly in the summit clash, Novel Football Club lifted the title trophy of the 7-a-Side Invitational Football Tournament at Sheikhpora Football ground, here today.
Novel FC trounced the rivals by two goals to nil (2-0) in the final to win the title.
PDP Secretary Youth Wing, Arif Laigroo was the chief guest on the valedictory function, while PDP Youth District Srinagar President, Majid Khan and veteran footballer, Nisar Husain were the guests of honour.
The Tournament in which top teams from across the Valley took part was organized by Sheikh ul Alam Sports Development Association.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Laigroo lavished praise on the organizers for holding this event, which provided opportunity to young footballers to showcase their skill.
