Nikhil Kapahi elected JKBSA prez

JAMMU, Jan 29: Nikhil Kapahi has been elected as president of J&K Billiards Snooker Association, wherein senior advocate Anshuja Tak was the returning officer at annual general body meeting of the Association at Amar Singh Club, here today.
Kuldeep Sharma was elected as general secretary, Jaideep Manocha as senior vice-president, Lokesh Sharma as vice-president Jammu, Umar Himayun as vice-president Srinagar, Ishuk Chowdhary as joint secretary Jammu, Mir Waseem as joint secretary Srinagar, Suhail Khalid as treasurer, while Sunil Jain, Ishan Sharma, Zeeshan Ahmed, Engineer Saleem Jahangir Banday, Ishan Chowdhary, Gurjeev Singh Tibb, Rakesh Gupta, Umar Ul Islam, Younis Nazir Kuchey, Mudassir Aashiq, Dilawer Hussain, Saqib Manzoor and Mian Bashir were announced as executive members of the Association.
The other members present during the meeting include Vishal Abrol, Vikas Gupta, Mohit Mahajan and Ishan Khajuria.
The newly elected body unanimously appointed Siddharth Sharma as chairman and Sanjeev Gupta as patron of the Association.
President Nikhil Kapahi on behalf of the Association assured every member that positive steps will be taken for the promotion of the sport in the Union Territory and very soon an inter-district tournament will be conducted.
