JAMMU, Dec 31: The final day of the year witnessed two exciting matches in the BIG Jammu Kashmir Premier League (BIG JKPL) 2025–26, held at University of Jammu Ground, with Nice Gems and Sultan Warriors Baramulla registering convincing victories.
In the first match, Nice Gems defeated Power Panthers by 103 runs. Batting first after Power Panthers won the toss and opted to field, Nice Gems posted a massive 238/6. Raghav Thakur starred with a blistering 71 off just 21 balls, hitting six sixes. In reply, Power Panthers were restricted to 135 runs, with Naveen claiming three wickets. Achintya Khajuria, who scored 45 off 21 balls and took two wickets, was named Man of the Match. Amit Bhasin, SSP Traffic, was the chief guest.
In the second match, Sultan Warriors Baramulla beat Valley Stars Ganderbal by 46 runs. Sultan Warriors scored 150 runs, with Asim Bashir top-scoring with 49 off 26 balls. Despite Nadeem Dar’s five-wicket haul, Valley Stars were bowled out for 104, with Asim Rather taking 4/14. Asim Bashir was adjudged Man of the Match. Special Guest Lone Sumaiya, Under-19 Coach, JKCA Women’s Team, lauded the players.
