NHPC hosts 12th Inter-CPSU Athletics meet

JAMMU, Dec 9: RP Goyal, Director Finance NHPC and Devender Gulia, District Sports and Youth Programme Officer Haryana awarded BBMB team for best team (men) at 12th Inter-CPSU Athletics tournament, hosted by NHPC at Haryana State Sports Complex, Faridabad, today.
The Athletic tournament hosted under the aegis of Power Sports Control Board (PSCB), wherein RP Goyal was the chief guest. The Director Finance congratulated the winners of various events and expressed his gratitude to all the participating teams for their sportsmen spirit. A total of seven teams from various Power CPSUs/ Organizations including Ministry of Power, CEA, BBMB, DVC, NHPC, Powergrid and REC participated in the two days tournament.
The teams of BBMB, PowerGrid and NHPC finished first, second and third respectively in overall men’s teams, while the teams of Powergrid, BBMB and NHPC finished first, second and third respectively in overall women’s team standings. Rahul Kumar, BBMB was awarded best athlete male and Rekha, BBMB was awarded best female athlete.
In 800mtrs men, Rahul Kumar (BBMB), Swapneel Chaterjee (Powergrid) and Deepak Kumar (BBMB) were among the top three respectively, in women Kanchana Devi (NHPC), Himanshi (Powergrid) & Nidhi Chauhan (CEA) stood 1st, 2nd and 3rd, while in 100mtrs men, Deepak (BBMB), Jagdish (Powergrid) & Mangal Negi (BBMB) were 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively, in women, Rekha (BBMB), Pronamee Boroah (Powergrid) and Dr Pinki (NHPC) stood 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively.
In discus throw men, Suraj Saini (BBMB)-1st, Surinder Singh (BBMB)-2nd and Kishor Agarwal (Powergrid)-3rd, in women, Swati (BBMB)-1st, Deepali (BBMB)-2nd and Asha (Powergrid)-3rd, while in 400 mtrs men, Swapneel Chaterjee (Powergrid)-1st, Rahul Kumar (BBMB)-2nd & Deepak Kumar (BBMB) -3rd, in 400 mtrs women, Rekha (BBMB)-1st, Kanchana Devi (NHPC)-2nd & Himanshi (Powergrid)-3rd, in triple jump men, Ashish Kumar (NHPC)-1st, Palwinder Singh (BBMB)-2nd and Surinder Singh (BBMB)-3rd.
In javelin throw men, Suraj Saini (BBMB)-1st, Surinder Singh (BBMB)-2nd and Jagdish Joshi (NHPC)-3rd , in women, Asha Kilodev and Seema of (Powergrid) stood 1st and 2nd and Anuradha (NHPC)-3rd, in high jump men, Ankaj Kumar (Powergrid)-1st, Ashish Kumar (NHPC)-2nd and Vijay Kumar (BBMB)-3rd, in women high jump, Pronamee Boroah (Powergrid)-1st, Nidhi Chauhan (CEA)-2nd and Dolly Kumari (Powergrid)-3rd.
In shotput final men, Suraj Saini (BBMB)-1st, Mangal Negi (BBMB)-2nd and Vipin Kumar (MOP)-3rd ,in women, Asha Kilidev (Powergrid)-1st, Deepali Sharma (BBMB)-2nd and Indu Sharma (NHPC)-3rd, in 1500 mtrs finals men, Rahul (BBMB)-1st, Nepal (Powergrid)-2nd and Deepak Kumar (BBMB)-3rd, in long jump final (women), Pronomee Boroh (Powergrid)-1st, Kanchana Devi (NHPC)-2nd and Bandana Rani (DVC)-3rd, in men, Palwinder Singh (BBMB)-1st, Sumit Kumar Bharghav (Powergrid)-2nd and Vijay Kumar (BBMB)-3rd, in 200 mtrs final (men), Swapneel (Powergrid)-1st, Deepak Kumar (BBMB)-2nd and Mangal Negi (BBMB)-3rd, in women, Rekha (BBMB)-1st, Dr Pinky (NHPC) and Himanshi (Powergrid)-2nd and Pratima Mandel (DVC) & Neha Singh (Powergrid)-3rd, in relay 4×100 mtrs final men, Mangal Negi, Deepak Kumar, Rahul Kumar, Deepak (BBMB)-1st, Pankaj Chaudhary, Praveen Kumar, Jagdish Mukherjee, Rajesh Meena (Powergrid)-2nd and Ashish Kumar, Jitendra Rajoma, Vaibhav Krishna and Neeraj Kumar (NHPC)-3rd, in women finals, Dolly Kumari, Neha, Himanshi & Pronamee (Powergrid)-1st, Hemlata, Seema Rani, Gurjeet Kaur & Rekha (BBMB)-2nd and Kanchana Devi, Santosh Sharma, Monika Sharma and Dr Pinky Kumari (NHPC)-3rd.
