JAMMU, Jan 24: New Rainbow Public High School celebrated its 25th Silver Jubilee celebration at Police Auditorium, here today. Former Minister for New and Renewable Energy, Dr Farooq Abdullah was the chief guest on the occasion, while NC senior leaders Mohd Sayeed Akhoon and Ajay Sadhotra were the guests of honour. Kamal Gupta, president Private School Association was presiding guest.
Prominent among other dignitaries who attended the function were Devender Rana and Ratan Lal Gupta.
The function started with the welcome address presented by In-charge Teacher, Sindhu Sasan followed by Ganesh Vandana, where students enthralled the audience.
The Annual Report of the School was presented by Navneet Singh, Committee Member of the School.
The students presented various colourful items which were appreciated by the audience.
The audience were mesmerized by the colourful ‘Dupatta Act’ on the Rainbow theme. The Kindergarten group presented fancy dress on various concepts like saving blood and donating eyes. They also tapped on the Nursery rhyme, songs- Aao Tumhe Chand Pe Le Jayen, Nanhe Munne Bache. The skit “Ser Pe Sava Ser” was also presented on the occasion.
The prizes were distributed by the chief guest and guests of honour among the distinction holders and the students who participated in the Inter-House Competitions. Padamshree Dr HS Rissam Memorial Award was presented to Neena Sharma who got 12th position in 8th Board exams.
Mementos were presented to the chief guest and the other dignitaries by Principal of the School.
The vote of thanks was presented by the Principal Joginder Kour.
