KATHUA, Oct 15: Nav Adarsh Higher Secondary School Kathua organized inter-house quiz contest in the School premises, here today.
Prof. Ram Murti Sharma, Director Baba Farid College of Education was the chief guest, while Sardar Khan, retired Superintendent of Police, presided over the event.
The program started with lighting of traditional lamp followed by Saraswati Vandana.
Teams of four houses namely Brain Toddlers, Marvelous Minds, Mystical Nimbles and Intellectualists took part in the contest. Each team comprised of four participants.
The contest comprised of three rounds. 1st round was of multiple choice questions based upon all academic subjects as well as sports, current affairs and general awareness, while 2nd round was a rapid fire round in which one participant of each team had to answer maximum number of questions in a stipulated time of 30 seconds and the 3rd round was a puzzle round. All the teams competed with huge enthusiasm.
Intellectualist house clinched the 1st spot while there was a tie between Marvelous Minds and Brain Toddlers for the 2nd position. Mystical Nimbles stood 3rd.
Prizes were awarded to the winners by the chief guest on the occasion.
