SRINAGAR, July 9: To prepare the Indian Wushu team for the forthcoming World Games to be held at Cali Columbia, 12th World Championship at Malaysia and World Combat Games at Russia, the Wushu Association of India will organize National Wushu Coaching Camp at Gulmarg, near here from tomorrow.
28 campers drawn from all over India, including Arjun Awardee W Sandhya Rani, will be attending the camp, which will be held under the supervision of four coaches and two physiotherapists, including J&K’s Kuldeep Handoo.
The Camp is being sponsored by Sports Authority of India (SAI).
The office bearers J&K Wushu Association including Sheikh Owais Ahmed, HK Lohia, Ranjeet Kalra and Vijay Saraf have thanked the Wushu Association of India and SAI authorities for holding camp in J&K.
It is pertinent to mention here that it is the second time that the Camp is be held at Gulmarg as the same was held at this venue in 2011.
