JAMMU, May 26: A National Environment Campaign sponsored by Ministry of Environment and Forest Department was organised at Government Girls High School, Baliyal, Rajpura Mandi, Zone Marh.
During the campaign, variety of activities including symposium, painting competition, formation of seed bank, plantation drive and a rally were organised, in which local community members and students took part actively.
In symposium, Sanjay Kumar, Asha Sharma and Vindu Devi secured first, second and third positions respectively, whereas in painting competition, Arti Devi, Sakshi Sharma and Sonia Chib emerged winners.
Headmaster of the institution Neelima Wazir while speaking exhorted the students to plant more and more trees to save the green planet.
Later, she distributed prizes among the winners of the competitions.
