Nasir hits 93 as J&K scores 257/7 on Day-1

JAMMU, Dec 27: Lone Nasir Muzzafar scored superb 93 runs, while Muneeb Munaf and skipper Vivrant Sharma scored 58 and 46 runs respectively to help Jammu and Kashmir score a decent total of 257 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in the ongoing CK Nayudu Under-23 Trophy at Barwala Cricket ground, Panchukula, near Chandigarh.
Earlier, winning the toss and batting first, J&K lost first two wickets within 10 overs at 29/2 as openers Nipun Verma (4) and Abhishant Bakshi (12) were dismissed by medium pace duo of MM Boora and Neeraj Rathi respectively. Sunil Kumar unbeaten (18) and Sahil Lotra (12) were the other two batsmen who crossed the double figure mark.
Neeraj Rathee took 3 important wickets for Haryana, while VN Sharma claimed one.
Jammu and Kashmir scored the runs in 88 overs bowled on day-1.
