Nancy of GCW Parade bags 1st place in Creative Dance

JAMMU, Sept 30: Displaying beautiful movements, expressions, aesthetics and creativity almost to a perfection, Nancy Gill of Government College for Women (GCW), Parade claimed first position in the Creative Dance (Solo) Competition as part of JU’s ‘Display Your Talent’, organized by the Department of Students Welfare, University of Jammu at Brig Rajinder Singh Auditorium, here.
Poonam Kumari of the same College bagged second place in the Competition, while the third place was clinched by Pallavi Kotwal of Government College for Women, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu while the Certificate of merit was awarded to Sahrish Javed of the same institution.
Prof NK Tripathi was the chief guest on the occasion who distributed prizes among the winners.
The creativity in the presentations was almost at its best as the participants touched the issues like girl child, female foeticide, dowry and environmental degradation etc.
Advocate Anuradha Seth Kohli, Mitali Gupta and Bindhiya Tickoo Raina were the experts for the event.
Dr Deepika Slathia was the Teacher Incharge for the Creative Dance (Solo) event, while the proceedings of the programme were conducted by Anshu Bala, Joint Secretary Students Cultural Council.
