JAMMU, Oct 1: After clinching first place in Semi Classical Vocal (Solo) Competition on the other day, Mukteshi Sharma from Government College for Women, Parade again made a mark in the Inter-Collegiate/Departmental Classical Vocal (Solo) event and bagged first prize in the ongoing “Display Your Talent” 2013-14, organised by the Department of Students Welfare, University of Jammu, here.
Anjusha B Sharma from Government College for Women, Gandhi Nagar and Shigarika Malhotra from Government College for Women, Parade shared the second prize, while the third prize was bagged by Sohan Lal from Government MAM College, Jammu.
The Certificate of Merit was awarded to Lalit Meina from Model Institute of Engineering and Technology, Jammu.
Dr Madhulika Singh, Department of History, was the teacher incharge of this event who apprised the participants about the rules and regulations.
Dr Jatinder Singh, Nand Kishore Pal and Balbeer Chand Beera were the adjudicators.
Prof JS Tara, Director, Poonch Campus was the chief guest on this occasion and distributed prizes among the winners alongwith Prof NK Tripathi, Dean Students Welfare and Prof Neeru Sharma, Chairman, Campus Cultural Committee.
The programmes was compeered by Apoorva Jamwal, Secretary, SCC.
Among others Divya Mahajan, Romika Devi, Kanwal Singh, members Students Cultural Council and students of various Colleges and Departments were present on this occasion.
