Mother’s Day celebrated with enthusiasm, zeal

JAMMU, May 12: Various educational institutions celebrated Mother’s Day with enthusiasm and zeal.
Mother’s Day was celebrated at Delhi Public School, Jammu with a mesmerizing special Assembly and a get-together of Mothers of tiny toddlers. The welcome address was presented by the Principal, DPS Jammu, Ruchi Chabra. There were many fun-filled games organized for the mothers and children such as balloon writing, lemon picking, talent show, pasta-strings, dancing, etc. which were thoroughly enjoyed by all. The tiny-tots presented colourful cultural programs dedicated to their mothers. A ‘Selfie-Counter’ and ‘Sunshine Board’ also attracted great attention. Group song, mime act, subtle and emotional dance performances by the students dedicated to their mothers won huge applause from the audience. Meenu Gupta, Headmistress, Richa Gupta Academic Coordinator-Pre Primary Wing were among others present on the occasion.
Mount Litera Zee School, Kathua celebrated Mother’s Day. Pankaj Dogra Chairman, Anu Dogra Director, Renu Trehan Principal, Mount Litera Zee School, Kathua along with all faculty members and students welcomed the chief guest Suninderjeet Kour, KAS Officer, guest of honour Kirti Sharma, SHO, Women Cell, Kathua and special guests Jaswinder Sethi RSD, North India, Zee Learn Limited and Sushma Avtar, Headmistress. On the occasion, various activities were organized. In Ramp Walk, Akshit Dingra and his elder sister Akriti, Shreya and her mother Nisha Verma and Aadvik and his mother Anu Rathore bagged first, second and third positions respectively, whereas in Duo Dance, Ranvijay and his mother Neeru Jasrotia, Nidhi Kataria and her mother Nirmala and Naksh and his mother Bindu Kohli clinched first, second and third positions respectively. In Duet song, Daiwik and his mother Anjana, Lavni and her mother Ramni and Athrav and his mother Vishu secured first, second and third positions respectively. In Tongue Twister, Saksham and his elder sister emerged winner.
Mother’s Day was celebrated in Rich Harvest School. All the mothers were saluted in the special assembly organized in school. Principal Anita Bhatia said that a mother’s contribution is immense and children should be grateful everyday for what mothers do for them. Director Ruchi Charak stressed on a point that mother is the one who play pivotal role and gives immeasurable care to the child. Cards were given to the mothers as they were felicitated.
Shubh Memorial International School, Akhnoor celebrated Mother’s Day. Welcoming the Mothers in a traditional way, the teachers present them flowers signifying the fragrance and color that a present a melodious song and a wonderful dance performance. Welcome speech delivered by the Coordinator Pooja Rani. The day follows by the show stopper event when the mothers come to the stage in groups holding the hands of their little bundle of joys and enjoy themselves. Mothers also participated and enjoyed various activities. Shashi Thakur Deputy Controller of Defence was the chief guest and Rashmi Sharma was the guest of honour on the occasion. Principal of the school Shilpa Mahajan was also present on the occasion. In the end, Renu Sharma presented vote of thanks.
To recognize the essence of a mother Mother’s Day was celebrated in high spirits and merriment at International Delhi Public School, Bhatindi, Jammu. Keeping this bonding emotion in mind, IDPIAN’s gave special performances. Heart-warming feelings filled the air with intimacy, gratitude, appreciation and acknowledgement of Mother’s love for her children.
Maharaja Harisingh DAV Centenary Public School Akhnoor celebrated Mother’s Day in which students presented variety of programmes and expressed their gratitude for their mother and pledged to obey and respect them throughout their life. Principal of the school Alok Betab motivated the students to obey and pay regards to their mother on routine basis.
To celebrate Mother’s Day, Jammu Sanskriti School, Jammu organized various activities. The memorable day was started with special morning assembly in which students of different classes expressed their emotions in the form of poems, songs, skits, etc. As school name defines the aim to promote culture, a special Dogri presentation was included in the celebration. Four jubilant activities were organized for mothers of students. In ramp walk, first and second positions were bagged by Shiana and Nisha respectively, while third position was shared between two mothers–Snighda and Swastika and one consolation prize was given to Chintpurni. In fireless cooking, first, second and third positions were bagged by Meenakshi, Archana and Satvinder respectively whereas in Art and Craft, first, second and third positions were bagged by Jyoti, Manpreet Kour and Santosh Charak respectively.
To celebrate Mother’s Day, a special assembly was organized in Stephens International Public School Miran Sahib. The students of class VIII-C commenced the programme citing the historical significance of the day which was followed by a sweet and foot-tapping song depicting the mother-child bond. This was complemented with a pulsating dance performance by the students that left everyone spellbound. Later games and numerous fun filled activities cum competitions were carried out for the mothers of the students. Gifts and cards were given to the mothers to make the moment memorable. Dean Academic, Rama Jamwal, Director of the school, Satvinder Saini, Headmistress Shweta Bakshi were also present on the occasion.
Delhi Public School Nagbani, Jammu (West) celebrated Mother’s Day by holding a special Assembly. Students were told to be more appreciative towards all that their mothers do for them right from making their food, helping them with homework, telling them stories and putting them to bed. Rich tribute was paid by the students to their mothers for putting all the efforts they put in bringing up their children. Students of different classes presented heart touching songs, dance performance, skit and poem recitation. Class activities like card making and poster making were also conducted in which the students poured out their love for their mothers with the help of colours and different decorative material. Principal of the school RK Verma spoke very high about the status of the mother in the society.
Shiksha Niketan Senior Secondary School Jeevan Nagar, Jammu organized a programme to celebrate Mother’s Day in Pushp Vatika, a unit of Shiksha Niketan. Indira Bhalla was the chief guest on the occasion, while Principal of the school Rameshwar mengi, a lecturer of chemistry, Senior Secondary School Jeevan Nagar Shivani were also present. Student of class 9th ‘Isha Manhas’ who bagged 2nd prize in placard making on the topic ‘Save Water, Save Birds’ organized by Dogra Sadar Sabha J&K was rewarded with trophy and cheque of Rs 400. The celebration was concluded with the vote of thanks by Nirmal Sharma, Main Incharge, Jeevan Nagar.
Shiv Public Higher Secondary School Sari Rakwalan Ghou Manhasan Road Jammu celebrated Mother’s Day. Various colorful items were performed. The mothers of the students also participated with enthusiasm in the function. At last best five mothers were felicitated with trophies. The trophies were given by the School Principal Mehak Manhas and Chairman BS Salaria.
Indira Kids Playway School, Shant Nagar, Janipur, Jammu celebrated Mother’s Day with great enthusiasm and zeal. On the occasion, Sanjay Padha, Chairman of the institutions was the chief guest, while Rashu Padha, Principal was the guest of honour. Tiny toddlers along with their mothers attired in colourful dresses participated in various fun filled activities. Prizes were distributed among the winners. The whole event was coordinated by Renuka Saroch, Co-ordinator of the institute.
RM Public School celebrates Mother’s Day. The main guests of the function were Chairman Rameshwar Mengi, Trustee Rita Mengi, Rakshan Mengi and Principal Ravinder Kour. The function includes skits, solo dance, group dance and solo songs.
Scientia International School, Bantalab celebrated Mother’s Day. On the occasion, children stole the show with their emotional performances towards their mothers. All the mothers shared their blues and emotional experiences too. The highlight of the show was various games and competitions in which the mothers participated. In the end, vote of thanks was presented by Founder Director Principal, Scientia International School, Bharti Bhardwaj.
To celebrate Mother’s Day, all the mothers of the students were invited to BSSK Play Way School Ratnu Chak. Children performed various activities. The programme was designed by the teachers under the guidance of Co-ordinator Reena Kumari and was hosted by Swarna. Kiran Kumar presented the welcome address. Principal Anju Bakshi was also present on the occasion.
Mother’s Day was celebrated in Tiny Scholars School, Kathua by its Bachpan Wing. The program for the day was a vibrant amalgamation of dance and music. Mother of the students also participated and enjoyed various activities and games. Different titles like best dancers, best singers, gorgeous mom, well dressed, beautiful hair and talented mom were given to the mothers. Mothers also shared their thoughts and feeling on motherhood. Director Manisha Gupta, Coordinators, Monika Sharma and Jyoti Sharma and many others were present on the occasion.
Mount Litera Zee School, Tarore Bridge, National Highway, District Samba celebrated Mother’s Day. The school accords a warm welcome to all the mothers. On the occasion, Advocate Purnima Sharma, Deputy Mayor, Jammu Municipal Corporation was the chief guest, while guest of honour were PB Kapoor, MD MLZS, Dr AK Kapoor, Chairman MLZS, Jaswinder Kaur, RSD, Zee Learn and Rahul Kapoor Principal, MLZS. Various games were organized for the mothers. Title for the ‘Best Mom for the session 2019-20 was won by Puja Chawla. The ‘Best Mom’ was crowned by the ‘Best Mom’ of the session 2018-2019 Shivani Dabgotra.
Indian Army organized lecture and essay competition on the occasion of Mother’s Day at Talwara and Bagga. A lecture on maternal and child care was also conducted at Bagga by Dr Kavita, Medical Officer, Indian System of Medicines, Sarh and was attended by 30 ladies. Essay competition for students on the theme of ‘Mother’s Day’ was organized at Government High School, Talwara. A total of 18 students participated in the competition.
