Monika brings laurels to State, secures 5th place

JAMMU, Oct 11: Monika Gupta of Jammu and Kashmir brought laurels to the State by securing 5th place in the World Bodybuilding Championship held at Mangolia.
Monika representing India won 5th place in the Athletic Modelling Competition. She had also won Miss India 2017 award.
The Indian Body Builders team was sent by International Body Building Federation and Ministry of Youth Services and Sports, Government of India.
Gupta returned her native State today and was welcomed by Chairman of J&K Body Building Association Raman Bhalla, Congress spokesman Ravinder Sharma, President Bhupinder Singh Tirthi, General Secretary Rajesh Datta, Vice President Er Naresh Gupta, Er Balkar Angurana and Tania Bakshi at Jammu Airport.
She is the first woman Body Builder of India who got 5th place in the World Championship and created history. Apart from her, the Indian team got 27 medals and stood 2nd in the world medal tally rank.
