Model Academy organises Group Song Competition

JAMMU, Apr 27: Model Academy hosted the Inter School Group Song competition in HL Gupta Auditorium, here today.
The program was organized  to promote the Prime Ministers initiative of “ Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat”.
The occasion was graced by the presence of Anjali Sharma, Station Director, Radio Kashmir Jammu as the chief guest, while Dr. Renu Gupta, Vice Chairperson MIER was the guest of honour and Dr Adit Gupta Director MIER was the special guest.
Other dignitaries present were Rupa Gupta, Joint Director MIER, PK Srivastava, Principal, JK Dhiman, Vice Principal, Manager Academics and heads of various Departments.
The competition witnessed an extensive array of participation from nine top leading schools of Jammu.
The panel of judges adjudicating the competition were Dr Deepali Wattal, renowned Singer and Lecturer Music and fine Arts Jammu University and Surpal Jaswal, noted Singer, Music instructor and coach to various music based reality shows in Mumbai. The judgment was done on the basis of Swar, Taal, Co-ordination and Presentation.
Dr. Arun Gupta and Dr. Renu Gupta, Chairman and Vice Chairperson MIER were present.
The first prize was bagged by GD Goenka School followed by Stephens International School and MHAC Nagbani winning second and third prizes respectively. Consolation prize went to Doon International School. All the schools received certificates of participation by the chief guest.
