JAMMU, Mar 1: Modern Montessori International (MMI) Preschool (London), Jammu branch celebrated its second Foundation Day with zeal and zest here today.
Students presented a variety of cultural items, followed by cake cutting ceremony and plantation of a sapling.
The children of Pre-Nursery (A) performed on song ‘ghode jaisi chaal’, while the students of Pre-Nursery (B) performed on the song ‘Stay fit Micky & Minnie’, Playgroup A&B performed on ‘Paanch Meel’, while Playgroup (C) performed on ‘Bum Bum Bole’ and Nursery students performed on ‘Come on Barbie’.
The Principal of the school Pragya Gupta congratulated the whole team of MMI Jammu on completion of second year of the school.
She said, “The Year 2018 was full of enthusiasm, achievements and significant developments, fun and learning. In these two years MMI Preschool has registered an enviable progress in academics as well as in other extra co-curricular activities. The emphasis is on self learning and developing skills that are conducive to child’s social, mental, emotional and intellectual growth”.
She further said, “MMI is a home away from home where we foster the never ending desire for learning through joyful and exciting experiences and activities with a combination of conducive environment and Montessori approach. Children are well prepared to move to formal schools,”.
Directors of the school Bhavna Rohmetra and Sapna Rohmetra congratulated the whole team of MMI for receiving India School Merit Awards.
It is pertinent to mention here that Modern Montessori International Preschool, Jammu was ranked No.1 among the category of top Montessori Schools in Jammu city in a survey conducted by Education Today Co at India School Merit Awards, 2018.
On the occasion, children made different art and craft items out of the waste material. They had great fun in doing these art and craft activities and made various items from the waste material.
The money collected from art and craft activities will be donated to NGO’s.
