MLZS Tarore excels in Inter-School Painting Competition

JAMMU, May 1: The students of MLZS Tarore excelled in the Inter School Drawing Competition which was held at ASN Higher Secondary School, Channi Himmat, here today.
Ten students from MLZS, Tarore participated in the competition in two different categories.
The themes were ‘Clean India’ and ‘Save Earth’.  The students from classes 5th to 8th represented the School in this event.
The program attracted active participation from different schools where students showed excellent results.
Around 80 students from different schools participated in two categories for the competition. One for classes from 4th to 7th and other for classes from 8th to 10th. The theme for classes 4th to 7th was “Clean India” and for classes 8th to 10th was “Save Earth.”
Muneer-Ul-Islam, Director Information, was the chief guest, while Dr AK Kapoor, Chairman of The Excel Publication presided over the function.
PB Kapoor, Chairperson, Mount Litera Zee School, Tarore, Samba also presided over the function, while Sunaina Mehta, Secretary Jammu Municipal Corporation along with Sandeep Mehta, Additional SP Security were the guests of honour.
The Jury included Parveen Akhtar, Principal Govt Hr Secondary School Channi Himmat and Nisha Rani, Fine Arts Teacher. Ritesh Kapoor, Administrator of the school presented the welcome address and encouraged the students with his words.
The motive behind this competition was to encourage the young artists of various schools to showcase their talent and depict the current happenings through their artwork. The criterion included creativity, composition and use of color in the drawings.
The winners in the competition in Category 1 included Janya Kapoor of class 5th
bagged the first prize, Rashi Kour of Class 6th won second prize, while Stuti of class 7th claimed third prize and Nandani Khajuria of Class 7th received consolation prize.
In second Category, Apoorvi Gupta of class 8th bagged 3rd prize.
School Director, Rahul Kapoor, Principal Sundeep Arora and Coordinator Gayika Kapoor lauded the efforts of the students for this achievement.
